Last Updated: May 31, 2026

For site usage rules and conduct guidelines, please see our Terms of Use.

1. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Scono ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information obtained from users ("User", "you", or "your") of the scono.co website and its associated online gaming services (collectively, the "Service"). This Policy applies to all users of the Service, regardless of how you access it.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please discontinue your use of the Service. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use, and defined terms used herein have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use unless otherwise specified.

This Policy may be updated periodically. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in the following categories:

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create or join a game room, you may provide:

We do not require, request, or retain your real name, email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, or any government-issued identification. There is no account registration and no payment processing on the Service.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Service, we and our third-party service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:

2.3 Information Stored on Your Device

The Service stores the following data locally in your browser's storage (localStorage/sessionStorage):

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as necessary to operate the Service. You may clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND DATA SHARING

We integrate several third-party services to operate and improve the Service. Each of these services collects and processes data under its own privacy policies and terms, over which we have limited control:

4.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to help us understand how users interact with the Service. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the Service, general geographic location (country/city level), browser type, and device type. This data is aggregated and anonymised where possible. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4.2 Google AdSense

We participate in Google's AdSense programme to display advertisements on the Service. Google AdSense is operated by Google LLC and may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of likely interest to you. This practice is known as interest-based or personalised advertising.

Specifically, Google and its advertising partners:

You may opt out of Google's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting www.aboutads.info for industry-wide opt-out options. For more information about how Google uses data from advertising partners, see Google's partner data policy.

4.3 Hotjar

We use Hotjar, a behaviour analytics service provided by Hotjar Ltd., to understand how users navigate and interact with the Service. Hotjar may collect data including mouse movements, clicks, scrolling behaviour, and anonymised session recordings. Hotjar does not collect personally identifiable information. For more information, see Hotjar's Privacy Policy. You may opt out of Hotjar tracking at Hotjar's opt-out page.

4.4 Content Delivery Networks

We use content delivery network (CDN) services to efficiently serve static assets (images, fonts, scripts). These services may collect request logs, including your IP address and User-Agent string, as part of their standard operation.

4.5 Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:

5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, pixel tags, local storage) to operate the Service and for analytics and advertising purposes.

5.1 Types of Cookies We Use

5.2 Managing Cookies

You may control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse, block, or delete cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service, in particular real-time multiplayer features that rely on session cookies. Instructions for managing cookies can be found in your browser's help documentation.

For opt-out options specific to advertising cookies, see Section 4.2 above.

6. USER-GENERATED CONTENT AND MODERATION

Player names, chat messages, and other UGC submitted through the Service are visible to other users within the same game room. We explicitly prohibit UGC that is illegal, adult in nature, or hateful, as described in our Terms of Use.

We actively moderate UGC to enforce these standards. Where UGC is found to violate our policies, we may remove it without notice. IP addresses associated with policy violations may be logged and used to enforce restrictions on future access.

You should be aware that chat messages and other UGC may be reviewed by our moderation systems and, in cases of serious violations, by our staff. Do not include sensitive personal information in game chat or player names.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain different categories of data for different periods:

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. The Service does not require any registration, and we do not knowingly request or store persistent identifiers tied to children.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that a child under 13 in your care has submitted personal information to us, please contact us via our contact page so that we may take appropriate action, including deletion of that information.

We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's online activities and to review this Policy with them.

9. SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), server-side rate limiting, and IP-based access controls. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot warrant the absolute security of your information. In the event of a data security incident that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal data, including rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, rights to object to or restrict certain processing, and rights to data portability. Since the Service does not require account registration and does not persistently store personal information tied to an identified individual (other than moderation logs), many standard data subject requests may not be applicable.

If you have a specific request or enquiry regarding your personal data, please contact us via our contact page and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

The Service and its associated infrastructure may be operated from or rely on servers located in various countries. If you are accessing the Service from a jurisdiction with data protection laws that differ from those of the country in which our servers are located, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a different jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers to the extent permitted by applicable law.
